RHA are delighted to have been appointed to work for WBS Group to provide structural and civil design services for the construction of a major new data centre facility in Europe. The scheme involves repurposing a vacant distribution warehouse into a modern, state of the art data centre with many halls each provided with backup utilities and support infrastructure.
The scheme commenced in early 2020 and will continue in construction for approximately five years, with RHA involved with primary steelwork, foundation and civil engineering design, as well as ancillery co-ordination and design elements for the wider site creation. The scheme involves several specialist companies working together to incorporate data cabling, power supplies, fuel supplies, security arrangements, along with the supporting and enabling superstructure, substructure and infrastructure.
