Central London Vodafone Data Centre Progress

Our involvement in a new back up generator system has involved the design of piled slab foundations to support large fuel tanks above ground. The works have progressed very well on site and the photographs here show the progression from design details to completion.

Although the outcome might look quite straightforward, the design initially involved obtaining very accurate information on the presence of buried services (of which there are many in Central London), as well as the details of any Victorian era deep sewers that might be present. Liaison with our client and the end user ensured that the project was positioned in the most logical location. We then carried out detailed analysis of the ground beams to determine the reinforcement requirements, followed by full detailing and specification for the reinforcement bar bending schedule.

We're extremely pleased to have provided Mountfield Building Group with our design services for this scheme and that it went very smoothly on site.

We look forward to working with them on the next project!
