We are delighted to have been appointed as Structural Engineers for the £3m redevelopment of the former Police Station in Newmarket.

The scheme will convert the former Magistrates Court and Police Station into desirable, attractive flats housed within the fine, Victorian masonry building. Sympathetic alterations will allow individual accomodation dwellings to be created around a new inner courtyard with secure cycle stores.

Structurally the scheme involves removal of loadbearing walls, introduction of new openings, as well as the demolition of the former cells to make room for a timber frame upward extension. The scheme is being project managed by Eddisons Chartered Surveyors and develops the outline Planning Permission gained earlier in the year.
